63 years. . . and counting!

This past Sunday, Jon's grandparents (Gene and Wanda) celebrated their 63rd anniversary at church. We went down to Laton to attend mass with the family and have breakfast. We couldn't make it to the party afterwards because Jon was forecasting this weekend. It is so cool to see couples that have been married for that long! Way to Go!

Ethan - 6 months, 2 weeks

It is hard to believe that our little guy is just over 6 months old. It is a bittersweet feeling! It is so exciting to see all that he can do, but so sad because each day he changes. Here is what Ethan has been up to lately:
- inching like an inchworm (he is almost able to crawl, but doing the inchworm gets him places fairly quick!)
- climbing (Our little guy is quite the adventurer. . . he's not content just sitting there playing with toys, he's rather climb to see what's on top of things)
- Eating solids (so far sweet peas, sweet potatoes, peaches, apples, and bananas are good. Carrots, not so much.)
- Sitting up - he is always on the move, so we haven't seen him sit up unless he's leaning over to go someplace.

- 2 bottom teeth - both teeth came in within 2 weeks of each other.

Eating solids (Ethan, of course!)

Enjoy this video of Ethan eating. :)

March seems to be zoo month in our home. We've been going to the zoo for Jon's birthday since before we were married (I think). This year was no exception, because it would be Ethan's first trip to the zoo. We went on Friday after Jon did the air quality forecast because we didn't want to go with all the hords of Fresnians taking advantage of this glorious weather we have been having. Ethan, being only 6 months old seemed to just like being outside. He did find a few animals that were worth looking at intently. . . the orangutan and the flamingo. We think he liked the oranatan and the monkies because they were climbing all over the place. . . just like him!
