Picture Day!!!

Several weeks ago, Jon's family all gathered in downtown Hanford for a family picture day. It was a special gift for his grandparents for their anniversary. For part of the gift, Kelley came up with with the idea to have numbered shirts of all the great grandkids (our kids' generation). So, I went with it . . white shirts with red numbers on them. I think they turned out cute (Despite accidentally sewing Weston's onesie together and not noticing it until the night before. . . yikes!). Afterwards we all went and got lunch and met back at Jon's grandparents house for a relaxing afternoon. The weather was Awesome! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect picture day! We ended the day with a Superior Dairy ice cream picnic at the park by the courthouse. So much fun!

Weston

Here's a quick picture of Weston at 2 1/2 months old! He's already growing so much! He loves to smile and "talk" with you, as well as bat his hangy toys on his play mat. At his doctor's appt. last week, he weighed in at 10 lbs 13 oz and is growing great! I can't believe in just a couple of days he will be 3 months old! WOW! Time sure does fly!

Hot Dogs . . . airplane style

Several years ago, I heard a DJ on the station formerly called Kduv talk about this super cool hot dog joint that you can eat in an airplane. I honestly can say that I was super curious and knew that I wanted to someday find this place with my hot dog lovin' husband. So, a few weeks ago scheduled a family fun day. . . hot dogs, outlet store shopping, and Super Target. Apparently, Tulare has a lot to offer . . and it's only 45 minutes away!

Aero dogs was really cool. It is located in downtown Tulare and looks like a plane with a parking lot next to some older homes/businesses. A little out of place, but you definitely can't miss it! It is really small and has a really small menu. I thought it would have all sorts of styles and topping of dogs, but it just had one dog. . . which was quite amazing. They also sold a tri-tip sandwich and a few other things. But, they had the most amazing hand crafted rootbeer and everything was made locally. It was really good! Oh and I can't leave out that instead of fries or chips as a side, you can order some really delicious popcorn!

If you look closely, Jon is in the window holding up his hot dog.

This is the inside of the plane. You sit on cargo boxes. It's really small.

Ethan and I posing for a picture.

We met my parents at the park in Visalia (right by the Holiday Inn) to pick up some things we had forgotten during Ethan's last stay with them. It sprinkled a little bit while we were there, but we played on the swings and we fed the ducks with grandma. So much fun!

Happy Birthday, Jon!

We celebrated Jon's 31st birthday last month with a yummy breakfast at La Boulangerie and our annual trip to the zoo. The day we went was the first day of their extended hours and the bird show. We were so excited! We got there just in time to watch the bird show and afterwards we got to take a picture with the owl. Ethan wasn't too sure about being so close to a real life owl, but it was still fun!

Jon took Ethan into the Small Wonders petting zoo and had a blast! Ethan kept trying to feed the goats and didn't want to leave, but Weston and I were getting lonely just watching.

One of our favorite picture spots at the zoo. . . the rainforest.
Daddy and his boys! You can't see it in this picture, but both boys celebrated their daddy by wearing shirts that said things about dad in them. Weston was wild about dad and Ethan was Dad's road rebel. It was so much fun!

Jon wanted Boston Cream Pie for his birthday and Ethan loves to help blow out the candles. In fact, for the whole week leading up to the birthday celebration, Ethan was talking about candles and I forgot to buy some. . . so he was left with 7 pink and white ones. Oh well, they still had fun and the cake was so yummy!

Happy Birthday, Jon!!!!

65 years!

Last month, Jon's grandparents celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a small family gathering at a nice Fresno restaurant. It was such a fun time of celebration . . . plus we celebrated Jon's 31st birthday and his cousin Dan's birthday.

Rich read a nice poem about Gene and Wanda.
I love this picture of Carolyn with Weston!
I REALLY love this pic of Logan giving Weston a kiss . . . priceless!
I thought this was a wonderful picture of Matt, Lisa, and Everett.
Gene gave a great little speech.
The cousins spent some time playing on their parent's Iphones.
The cake.

Beach day

The past 2 months, we have been blessed to have my grandma and sister (George, too) come out and visit. It has been so much fun hanging out with my sister and seeing George (3 1/2) and Ethan (2 1/2) play with each other. They both share a love of Thomas trains. They would just play and play and play. Unfortunately this trip was plagued by everyone getting sick, so we didn't get to do as much as we would have liked, but we still made some memories. While they were here, we got to spend a day in Morro Bay hanging out. This weekend in particular, my aunt and uncle also flew out to spend some time. It was a great day!

Our first stop in Morro Bay was the Marina Park. It was the perfect place for me to quickly feed Weston (it was his first road trip and he did great, despite being sick). This was also the meeting spot for everyone. It also gave Ethan and George some running around time, since they had been trapped in car seats for several hours.
In this picture, Ethan was having a conversation with my grandma. Such a precious moment caught on camera!
4 generations! My grandma, My mom, aunt, sister, me, George, Ethan, and Weston.

Jon and Ethan took a walk down one of the docks. Ethan tried climbing in one of the boats.

We had lunch at Dorns. . . a family favorite. I love this picture of my mom and Ethan with Morro Rock in the background.

This is my aunt and uncle. It was so nice that they got to come for a visit for the weekend.
After our day of strolling around Morro Bay, we took some time at the beach in Cambria. Jon and Ethan worked really hard on this little sand castle. Ethan couldn't wait to get out his pail and shovel. . . he was so excited to go to the beach!

Cambria was a tad chilly, but this was a very beautiful picture!
Our, now growing, family! Weston's first trip to the beach was a cold one and he wasn't feeling so great. Hopefully our next trip will be better for him!

Future frisbee player. . . look at that form!
