We're expecting. . .

Hey everybody. . . just thought we would announce it to the world that we are expecting a new addition to our family next February. This picture was taken yesterday and the dates are off. Jolie is about 9 weeks along (we think) as the doctor is sticking with dates based off the first one that was taken 2 weeks ago. We are very excited and really can't wait to get past the 1st trimester.

5 years

Jon and I celebrated our 5th anniversary on June 25th with a romantic get-a-way to San Francisco. . . one of our favorite spots to go. This year, we stayed at the Sir Francis Drake, a hotel we have always been curious about, right in the heart of Union Square. We also went to see Wicked at the Orpheum (which was AMAZING!!!!!, by the way!!!!). We spent a lot of time watching World Cup games, since we had cable tv (we don't at home, so we take advantage of it as much as possible; and I must say soccer games in English was a nice treat). We spent Saturday walking around places we have already seen before, but it is always nice to do. We walked through the financial district to the Ferry Building, so Jon could get some delicious gelato. Then we walked down the Embarcadero to Fisherman's Wharf, so I could get some tasty fresh crab (and boy was it yummy). From there we headed to hang out for a bit at Ghiradelli Square and then towards Nob Hill for dinner. We ate at the Tonga Room in the Fairmont, which was absolutely fabulous (and we highly recommend it to everyone).
Our weekend was so much fun. . . and it was so nice to do it without Ethan (we love him, but it was so nice to get away). We look forward to many, many more years together and many, many more adventures together.

Pudding paint

Last week, I started incorporating some art into Ethan's day. The weather was great and our little blow up wading pool and sprinklers were on, so a messy project was perfect fit for a morning in the water. I made some vanilla pudding and put a little bit in small bowl and stired a few drops of food coloring in. Then, I took it outside and gave Ethan some painting paper and let him go crazy. He had so much fun! This is definately something we will be doing often this summer.
