Future Corn Pops Lover

Last week, Jon had finished up the box of Corn Pops by putting the empty box next to the trash can. Our little guy, Ethan, is such an adventurer already. He set out on his daily trip to hang out by the patio and soak in some vitamin D and fresh air, but got distracted with what was on the ground. I think that you will enjoy this video. . . we found it quite funny!

More of Morro. . .

Just when I thought I was finished blogging our trip this past weekend, my friend Steph emailed me some really cute ones she had taken. So explains a second post. This weekend was a ton of fun! Jon and I feel so blessed that we have a such an awesome group that we get to meet with on a weekly basis to study God's Word, and occassionally go on a trip together! There is something really special about small group Bible Studies!

Morro Bay Retreat

I am sitting here, blogging, in my air conditioned home . . . in APRIL! Yes, April. I know I live in California. . . much less, the Central Valley, but we should not be having 95 degree weather! So, I am reminicing our recent weekend to the coast with our small group. The weather was sunny and beautiful! Can we go back? Probably not for awhile, but here's some memories that were made this weekend.

* picnic at the park
* Pirates and fairies running around the park in Morro Bay (it was a b-day party)
* Ethan and Abi enjoying the sand together. Ethan was loving the sand and enjoyed getting all over! He even ate it for the first time!
* Shopping downtown and getting Humus at the farmer's Market
* New fabric. . . what ever am I going to make?
* wii bowling. . . Congrat's Michelle on beating Jon!
* Jon getting his first sunburn of the summer.
* Getting introduced to geo-casheing (I don't know if I spelled that right?)

It was a great weekend! Going away with good friends is always fun! I look forward for our next adventure!

Easter

WOW! Easter came and went . . . and so did the Cadbury eggs! Thankfully that is not why we celebrate Easter. This year managed to be probably the busiest Easter, but the most stress free one Jon and I have probably had as a married couple. Not to mention, this year, we threw in a kid! We started the day off by going to the 8:00 service. Our church did their own cardboard testamonies which was completely amazing! Jon and I were truly blessed by it. Next, we went home, where I made salads for the lunch(es) and Jon grabbed a snack and headed off to do the air quality forecast. When Jon came home we headed off to Hanford to celebrate Easter with his family and then over to Lemoore to do the same with mine. It was a really nice day. We even got to experience an absolutely beautiful sunset on the way home that evening! He is Risen. . . He is Risen indeed!

A perfect day for the park!

Spring is here! We got together with Jon's family for an afternoon of park fun and pizza. We had a lot of fun hanging out with Jon's parents and Jeff, Kelley, Cooper, and Logan. There was some T-ball action, stair climbing, and relaxing on a blanket. We had a ton of fun!

San Francisco

2 weeks ago, Jon had the opportunity to attend a training at the EPA office in San Francisco. Ethan and I took advantage of the opportunity to get out of the house and do some exploring. We shopped around Union Square, checked out SOMA, the Moscone Center, and walked to Pier 39 to see the seal lions. We had fantastic weather and a great time!

Updates

Wow! I have really slacked off on the blogging thing. I have to admit that I have been preoccupied with other things. Ethan is keeping me very busy as well as working on the church cookbook (out in May!). Ethan is definately the active little boy he was in the womb! He does not stay still for long. . . unless he is napping. Currently he is enjoying taking walks around the neighborhood, climbing on the furniture, and sticking things in his mouth. Last week, he started getting his two top teeth (YES! he is getting them 2 at a time!). Here are some snapshots of recent activities with Ethan.

Ethan hanging out with his Great Grandpa Gene and Uncle John at the March birthday party for Jon's family (Happy b-day Jon!)

Ethan recently outgrew his bathtub and we have moved to taking baths in the kitchen sink. He loves playing with the water and his bath toys!

Ethan loves to play video games with his daddy! Mario Kart was fun. . . until he realized that the steering wheel was the perfect thing to gnaw on!

On the way to dinner for Jon's birthday, Ethan and Jon took some time to look at the flowers growing outside our apartment. I think Ethan liked them!
