Summer Vacation?
Well the 2007-2008 school year has been over for 3 weeks and I still can't believe how quickly the year sped by. I once again had a very awesome class and we accomplished so much. We kept ourselves very busy! All 19 (and sometimes 22) of us crammed into a very small room (believe me, it was small!) This year, these third graders survived their first research project, science fair project, several field trips, and their teacher having morning sickness for 2 months!
This class, although incredibly active, was incredibly loving. We made many memories and had a ton of fun! I am very proud of each and every one of my third graders!
And now, as summer has begun, I am cherishing my mornings of sleeping in (while I can!) and enjoying the quiet moments at home (while I can!). I will cherish these guys as the last class I will teach for awhile, and move on into the role of homemaker and mother. I am very excited! A bit nervous on what to do with the extra time on my hands (Believe me, motherhood will be a different role, but there is definately less work than my teaching career!).
I have every intention on getting more into my card making and scrapbooking fetish. I am looking forward to making our child his own scrapbook full of his adventures in addition to working on our family scrapbook. I am also planning on joining our church's MOPS group, which several friends are already members. Jon and I are even getting ready for a trip to Oregon to visit friends! So, I think as much as I will miss my life as a teacher, I will cherish the memories and love being a mom way more! I will keep you posted!
