We spent the weekend of Easter soaking in the sun at Pismo. It was really warm (I think it reached 80 degrees!). Jon and I both wished we had packed shorts. We stayed at the Cottage by the Sea, which has beach access and a beautiful garden on the cliffs, where we watched the waves crash upon the rocks. It was very beautiful. We also did a bit of shopping. But, the only thing we could come up with to buy was a soft stuffed, monkey and a soft, stuffed tiger. Those two animals mark the first things we have bought for our developing little baby. We had a scrumptious dinner at McClintocks. There, Jon gorged himself with an enormous hamburger! We wish I would have taken a picture.
Sunday, we got up and made our journey to Lemoore, where we celebrated Easter with Jolie's family. Her grandma, sister, and nephew were visiting from Wyoming. That was nice.
We couldn't stay too long because we had Jon's family's celebration in Fresno. That was nice, also. Cooper and Logan hunted for Easter eggs, we ate cake and ice cream, and celebrated some Spring birthdays (Jon, his cousin Dan, and his aunt Debbie were all celebrated).
It was a nice Easter. Jon and I feel very blessed to have such wonderful, close families.
