Our front room has sat void of furniture for a year and a half.  It has been dreaming of nice, comfy, slipcover style couches. . . preferably in a brown color (the walls wanted a nice contrast, ya know?).  Well, maybe it was just me, but it was in need of furniture.  For the past year and a half you might walk in our house and notice a pile of toys, a pile of maternity clothes, or a piles of dirty clothes scattered around that room.  It seemed to be a great place to just put stuff that didn't exactly have a home.  We hated it.  But, finally the time came. . . we shopped, we looked, we researched.  And finally came to the conclusion that IKEA couches were for us.

As tradition with IKEA, you have to build it.  But seriously, I just don't think it would be as cool if you didn't have to read the awesome picture directions and build it yourself (it's also cheaper to do it that way!).
The morning of the delivery, Stephanie, Abi and Tanner came to hang out, so I had an extra set of hands when the delivery was made (doors open, toddler running around, potential eating time for Weston. . . the possibilities of what could go wrong were endless!).  We had fun.  I am not sure what we more fun for the kids: playing in the water beforehand or playing on the boxes after they were delivered!
This box holds a chair. No I am not kidding. . . there, inside this very box lies a large, comfy chair.
Jon is working hard at putting the arm rests on the couch.  (I did great taking pictures!)
Ethan helped, too.  He loved screwing on the legs of the chair.  He could do it all by himself!
I know this isn't the greatest picture, but here it is and Ethan is jumping on it to test the bounce factor (although, there wasn't any more jumping after this picture was taken).

By the way, this completely finished the room.  I love it!  It is now not a catch-all room, but a nice room to hang out.  Not only did a transformation happen, but something else.  Ethan now perfers to play in this room. . . away from the tv.  It's great!
