Weston's dedication

First of all, I apologize for not keeping up on the  blog. . . things have been so busy here and I am going to try to get our blog updated very quickly.

So, here's where I left off.  Back in August, we dedicated our son, Weston, to the Lord.  What does that mean exactly?  Well, first of all it is more for the parents, then for Weston.  We are dedicating to raising our son in the Lord.  We are committing to praying for him and teaching him about God, hoping that someday he will come to know the Lord by his own choosing.  I hope that explains it okay.

After church, we invited everyone over. . . and let's just say that there were a lot of people.  It was crazy!  Since we and the Mikow's have mutual friends, we decided to join forces and have a lunch and prayer time together.  Can I just say. . . there were A LOT of people.  I actually believe that we broke records for how many people fit into our home.  Not to mention it was a really hot day (seriously. . . August. . . Fresno. . . what were we thinking. . . just kidding!).  I honestly think that every last bite of food and every last drop of lemonade was consumed!  It was completely worth it though, to share in a very special day with great friends and family.  These are the people that are going to be encouraging and praying for us as we raise our children.  I love being in such an amazing community of believers!
Before we ate, we had a special time of prayer.  Thanks to Rich (Jon's Dad for leading that).
And, finally, here is a cute picture of my mom holding her grandson, Weston.  I think they are having a deep conversation about something.

Overall, it was a fun, blessed day (that might possibly border on exhausting).  Thanks to everyone who came out to support us!  We are so blessed by your friendship and support!
